Internships
It is never too soon to start thinking about enhancing your employability. Undertaking
an internship can help you build your confidence, develop workplace skills, apply your
knowledge in a practical workplace setting, prove yourself to an employer, and can substantially
boost your employment prospects.
In fact, an increasing number of employers use internships as part of their recruitment
process, to assess the abilities and impact of a potential future recruit before offering a permanent position.
Internships Essex
Our Internships Team is here to help you find paid practical work
experience with local, national and even international employers. We can help you find internships:
- during your studies; and
- for up to three years after you graduate.
Internships can be part-time whilst you study, or full-time
outside of term-time and on graduation, and can vary in length from around six weeks
to up to 12 months.
All of our internships are paid, so you will also earn while you work.
Practical experience for graduates
Gaining practical hands-on experience in the workplace has never been as
important as it is today. Employers continually emphasise how vital workplace
skills are for graduate recruits.
Completing an internship, even after you graduate, can give you the edge in the job market, and allow you
to try out different career options.
