Partnership working

Dedicated careers advisers

Every faculty has a dedicated careers adviser from the Employability and Careers Centre. You can get advice from careers advisers on embedding careers and employability in the curriculum, and making sense of the graduate labour market and DLHE data. Careers advisers can also deliver employability related sessions with undergraduate and postgraduate students in your school or department.

Refer your students

We encourage students to engage with us and we ask that you direct your students to us if they have careers-related questions. We offer:

  • one-to-one support for students and graduates
  • a programme of events, including our annual ‘Options’ careers information and recruitment fair
  • an Information Team
  • Essex CareerHub, our dedicated job vacancy board
  • resources and publications that students can use in our centre or take away
  • employability modules developed and delivered in collaboration with the Talent Development Centre

If you are approached by employers with vacancies, please direct them to our information for employers, or if your department wishes to recruit a student, please contact us to discuss how we can support you further.
