Our Employability Strategy

The Employability and Careers Centre works with academic and non-academic departments and faculty staff (as well as our Students’ Union, student societies and employers) to enhance the employability of all our students. This gives students a sound foundation for their future, enriches subject learning and changes the University’s external profile – in employability league tables, for example.

Staff input

We believe academics and professional service staff have valuable insights into employability, and that formal and informal networks and partnership working can help our work within and beyond the curriculum.

The Strategy

Employability Implementation Group

We implement the University’s Employability Strategy through the Employability Implementation Group (EIG), chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Standards). This group is supported by our Employability Champions Network, which allows staff who are interested in employability to share new practice and contribute ideas.
