Autumn term 2013
Bookings are now open for events in the Autumn term.
There are many employability sessions designed to help you
decide what you want to do next, gather information about options, hear suggestions on how you can gain experience and
get the skills to make effective applications. Not all events will recur later in the year, so please make the most of these
opportunities.
You can book to attend an event up to two weeks in advance so please check these pages regularly.
Book your place
To secure your place, please complete these steps:
- Click on the event code (below) to access the online booking form for that course.
- Fill in the fields requested by the online booking form and then click on the book event button.
- Log in using your University username and password to make your booking.

CVs for Part-Time jobs
Description
Are you planning to apply for a part-time job? The aim of this session is to give a brief overview of how to write a CV suitable for applying for a part-time job in the UK. There will be a short presentation and an opportunity to ask questions.
Please note it is not suitable for students who are applying for graduate level jobs. The CV Basics and ‘Effective Applications’ workshops are more suitable for this purpose as they reflect general graduate recruitment practice and in specific sectors (financial and public).
