The Big Essex Award can help you showcase all of your extra-curricular achievements and
provide concrete proof to employers about just how employable you are.
Sign up to award, then simply log your extra-curricular experience hours, add a little volunteering
and we’ll help you identify, evidence and successfully sell the skills graduate employers are really looking for.
If you complete the award we record it on your degree transcript and you'll be invited to attend our annual Big Essex Celebration held in June.
In the run-up to the Award Celebration, you'll also have the opportunity to nominate yourself, or be nominated by a member of staff, for an extra-recognition award.

Extra-curricular experience
There are lots of ways to gain your extra-curricular hours, including:
- Frontrunners
- RSN
- Student Ambassador
- SU employee
- course reps
- sports and societies
- plus other part-time work.
