Each year higher education institutions survey their recent graduates to find out what they are doing after they leave. The survey covers UK and EU first degree and higher degree graduates. Students are surveyed six months after graduation. HESA (the Higher Education Statistics Agency) oversees the collection and analysis of the data. As part of a revision of the survey, the name has changed from First Destination Survey (FDS) to Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE). Destinations Interactive is an in valuable resource presenting the information collected in the University of Essex Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey. What do graduates do on the Prospects website, gives national figures, based on this survey, with subject and industry breakdowns. There is more national data available from the HESA website. More general labour market information is also available from Prospects. |
