Rachel is currently seconded to the role of Faculty Employability Officer in
the Faculty of Social Sciences two days per week (Wednesday and Thursday), and
continuing in her role as Careers Information Assistant within the Central
Services Team one day per week (Monday).
In her Faculty role, her key objectives include providing a transformative
student experience through the effective delivery of careers and employability
advice to students (including 1-1 and group support), organising and
facilitating workshops and events and developing employer relationships by
collaborating with and supporting Faculty Placements Managers.
Rachel has over 10 years recruitment experience within leading national and
independent recruitment agencies. Before joining the University, she managed the
Permanent Division of an independent recruitment consultancy in the City of
London advising a diverse range of clients and candidates on all aspects of the
recruitment process and recruiting as a preferred supplier to many international
investment banks, regulatory bodies and boutique investment managers.
Rachel is currently studying towards the AGCAS Postgraduate Certificate in
Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education at The University
