Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
A Knowledge Transfer Partnership is a government-sponsored project between a
company, a University and a high calibre graduate (called an Associate) to work
on a project that is strategically important to the Company. The Associate is
employed by the University, works exclusively at the Company for the duration of
the project, and is supervised by an Academic expert throughout. Over 5000
organisations have already taken part in KTPs, and this has resulted in dramatic
improvements to their profitability, productivity and competitiveness.
KTPs last between 6 months and 3 years, and are grant funded 67% for companies
with less than 250 employees. They are suitable for strategically important
projects.
Any type of organisation can take part in KTP and they can involve academics
from any discipline. For more information, please contact
Jenny Young, KTP Manager, on 01206 874076 or see
the
Knowledge
Transfer Partnerships Website.
