Former Games Hub participants Teaboy Games have successfully launched three new games, and have helped to shape the ongoing hub programme.
Through the Games Hub, supported by the University of Essex, we're encouraging the
ideas and innovation to create tomorrow's successful computer games companies.
Each year we offer a window for aspiring games and app developers to join the hub, and anyone can apply. Running for 40
weeks from early October each year, Games Hub offers:
- an award-winning games development programme
- expert tutoring, mentoring and support throughout
- subjects covered include design, monetization, IP ownership, marketing
- studio space in vibrant, modern, offices at Parkside Office Village
You’ll have the opportunity to be mentored by Steve Huckle, who created the Games Hub in 2014. Steve is a Bafta-nominated and top 10 Creative England
top 50 Future Leader. In 2016 Steve won an Essex Innovation 50 award, and he has more than 30 years’ experience of developing digital computer games.
His portfolio includes Tomb Raider, The Sims, and Transformers Universe.
Since 2014 Games Hub has fostered the skills and creativity of more than 50 individuals, and five small businesses have
been formed and spun-out of the hub.
