Postgraduate Research Degrees
The School offers MSc by dissertation (MSD),
MPhil and
PhD degrees and we welcome enquiries and applications from prospective
graduate students, both from the UK and overseas. Click

Postgraduate research within the School of Biological Sciences covers a
broad range of biological subjects including environmental microbiology, plant
productivity and photosynthesis, biophysics, biochemistry, bio-organic
chemistry, sports science and cell/molecular biology and there are 13 research
degree titles to choose from. Our unique broad-based
structure allows us to exploit the opportunity for collaboration between
different areas of the biological sciences. Research is supported by modern,
well-equipped research
facilities.
Our postgraduate research students integrate fully into our research
groupings and are considered to be valuable members of our research community.
