All participants
are invited to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentations. The deadline for submission is 15th May 2007 Please submit a word document by email only to Terry McGenity (halophiles@essex.ac.uk) with the subject heading: Halophiles-Abstract Please indicate a preference for oral or poster presentation. The scientific committee will assess the abstracts and inform you in due course of the outcome. Only the abstracts of registered presenting authors will be included in the congress abstract book. Permission must be obtained from all authors. Abstracts must be in 11-point Arial font, and a maximum of 400 words, excluding title, authors and affiliations. Please use the following format: First line: Title in bold. Second line: Authors (surname and then initials) and a numeric symbol indicating their affiliations (in the format indicated in the example below). Please underline the name of the presenting author. Third line: First address, including country. Fourth line, etc.: Further addresses, including country. Please indicate the email address of the presenting speaker as indicated in the example below. Then please include the Abstract (max. 400 words) in English, taking care to avoid non-standard abbreviations.
