How members of the Essex Biomedical Sciences Institute are making headlines
Cancer Research UK have awarded £205,000 over three years to Elena Klenova, Igor Chernukhin and Dawn Farrar (left) to look at the early reversible changes in the genes linked with breast cancer development. This study will be first performed in model systems in the lab and then using clinical tissue to validate the findings. This research will help researchers to understand the very early molecular mechanisms responsible for the reversible changes in genes associated with breast cancer development. Dawn Farrar discussed this project live on BBC Essex on 30th March.
Dr Gavin Sandercock recently appeared on BBC Essex, BBC Radio London, Dream
