Membership
Membership is open to academic/research staff of the University of Essex who are actively engaged in collaborative research with medical professionals in regional Hospital NHS Trusts or wish to explore collaborative opportunities. Membership is also open to medical professionals of regional Hospital NHS Trusts who are actively engaged in collaborative research with academics or wish to explore collaborative opportunities.
Benefits of membership: Clinicians benefit through access to academic knowledge and expertise and the infrastructure/facilities to enable them to engage in translational research. Researchers benefit through access to clinical expertise, patients and clinical samples and a greater understanding of unmet clinical need.

Finding Partners for your Research - HealthCompetence
The HealthCompetence website includes all projects related to life science and health supported by the European Commission since 2004. It also gives access to the projects results in terms of technology offers, patents and publications, which, together with interactive search devices, will facilitate the identification of potential collaboration partners and the set up of partnerships between academia and industry in health research.
