School Visits & Public
Events: The Biological Sciences School is dedicated to it’s outreach programme to increase awareness and knowledge of environmental issues
including issues in Food security and basic bioscience underpinning
health issues. We offer a range of presentations specifically tailored to the audience. For
examples of public presentations that could be offered please

School is currently conducting research into the best way to facilitate engagement of different age cohorts with current issues so as to ensure the continued delivery of quality professional and academic standards.
Environmental Clubs: A
Schoolal environmental outreach officer has worked with schools to help develop environmental clubs and activities with the aim of facilitating student led environmental actions within their own institution. We
have also offered information on regional and nationally recognised environmental award schemes by means of our links with the council.
If your school is interested in our current opportunities for
development and would like to find out more please contact please contact
Nicky Slee. The School
is also in the process of developing links with 'Colchester
Children's University', with scope to deliver short
lectures/practical demonstrations to children aged 7-14 years old.
