The following societies provide opportunities for students to apply for financial support to attend conferences and workshops sponsored by the societies. There is no guarantee that applications will be successful and that support will be provided. Please click on the Society’s logo for more information. Please note that some early deadlines apply for the some awards so please apply early.

NERC PhD students can also ask their supervisors or departments for access to their NERC Research Training Support grants that are linked to each NERC studentship.

The BES provides funding on first-come first-served basis to assist students with conference and workshop fees for BES student members to apply for.
