Room types at Colchester campus

University of Essex has a long tradition of academic excellence, both teaching and research, and innovation. AVMS is a key player providing audio visual equipment to all Departments and Services.

AVMS supports these five types of centrally timetabled rooms:  Full AV room, Partial AV room, Smart Shelf, Video Projector Only and Seminar room. For Departmental rooms information please contact the specific department.

Please be aware you need to contact Timetabling office for room booking. AVMS does not either book the room or hold information about the room booked.

All rooms have an OHP (overhead projector) available with spare transparency roll.

The names reflect the kind of equipment users will find within. Additional AV equipment and upgrades are available by booking either by email or online.

Please read below details about the rooms. Alternatively you can find on the drop down top menu a link to our equipment in any specific room and its status.

Full AV room

Full AV room has a networked computer with access to your M: drive (your personal folder), your emails and the internet, as well as a number of commercial software packages available on campus.
