All copying and media are subject to standard charges (see here).
Technician cover and equipment rental are free of charge to internal clients in support of teaching, although charges will apply for technician time outside of 9-5 Monday through Friday, or for intensive dedicated coverage support at any time.
Portable videoconferencing is being established and is currently on a trial basis and there is no charge but service is limited at the moment.

Dedicated technician charges
If dedicated technician cover for an event is requested it should be scheduled in advance and will be available for the entire period necessary, and the event will take priority over any other activities.
If coverage is requested at intervals this can also be arranged. If technician time is not scheduled it may be provided, but cannot necessarily take priority.
There is a one-hour minimum charge for overtime at all times; there is a two-hour minimum if an event requires that a technician come in especially for it, i.e. events beginning after 6pm and on weekends.

Events' equipment charges
Equipment rental are free of charge to internal clients in support of teaching, although charges may apply for delivery, setup and break down for income-generating events.
Spare carousels for slide projectors, laser pointers, PowerPoint remote presenters, projector stands and screens are free of charge.
Cabling such as CAT5 for network, VGA for projectors and extension leads for power are free of charge.

Charges for audio and video copying, transferring and media
All copying and transfering are subject to copyright. We will ask for proof of it.
Students and departments may purchase copies of recorded lectures; the copying fee is waived for disabled students and cases of lecture clashes.
We do not copy lectures from audio cassette to CD but we copy other contents suchs as interviews, events, etc...

Charges for Media Services
A technician is included when booking a Media service, Technician time considered is Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm. For any other time please contact us.

For specialist camera/ recording equipment there are no equipment loans as use of the equipment is normally part of a package which includes an AVMS technician as a camera operator.
