Square 5 is the focus for all Arts activity on campus. It is where the Lakeside Theatre and University Gallery
reside, along with the University's collection of Latin American Art on display in the Albert Sloman Library.

Buses
There are a variety of buses that stop regularly at the University of Essex.

Car Parking
Free parking after 16:30 on weekdays and all day on weekends.
Please park in the 'Pay and Display' area accessed via Boundary Road at the Wivenhoe end of campus. This parking is
conveniently located for our Arts activity - just follow the footpath straight down to Square 5 (see map for details).

Trains
Trains from London to Colchester leave from Liverpool Street Station approximately every 20 minutes.
The journey takes around one hour. Further information is available on our

Access
The Lakeside Theatre and University Gallery have full disabled access.
Wheelchairs can enter the theatre through the main box office. We also have an
access entrance (offering limited facilities) should you require a designated
parking bay in close proximity to the theatre. An infrared enhancement system is
available in the main auditorium. We welcome assistance dogs at all
