The second Work in Progress Seminar will focuss on the particular types of media used to sustain artistic connections, including small presses, conceptual artworks and strategies, including mail art, and international meetings and exhibitions, including formal and informal participation in events, particularly regarding boycotts, interventions, counter-biennales and alternative meetings.
A focus on the types of artistic practices that have operated transnationally will be countered by an examination of those forms that "fail" to travel or translate, such as forms of popular art.
