Meeting Margins: Transnational Art in Latin America and Europe 1950-1978
One of the main aims of the project is the development and publication of a book, "Meeting Margins: Transnational Art in Latin America and Europe 1950-1978", which hopefully will be in press by the end of the project in December 2011.
The volume will be written by Valerie Fraser, Michael Asbury, Isobel Whitelegg and María Iñigo Clavo, and will be informed by their recent research, by the various contributions of the external advisors, as well as by the experience of the many events, Work in Progress Seminars, the International Research Forum for Graduate Students and Emerging Scholars, the Final Conference, which have occurred throughout the project.
The book will outline the parameters of a newly-emerging field within research into Latin American art. This will be an English-language publication but the editorial team are seeking a Latin American publisher for translation of the book in order to ensue the widest possible dissemination of the research.
