Convention and Protocol relating to the status of refugees
The Protocol was taken note of with approval by the Economic and Social Council in resolution 1186 (XLI) of 18 November 1966 and was taken note of by the General Assembly in resolution 2198 (XXI) of 16 December 1966. In the same resolution the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to transmit the text of the Protocol to the States mentioned in article V thereof, with a view to enabling them to accede to the Protocol
entry into force 4 October 1967, in accordance with article VIII

The Refugee Studies Centre The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) was established in
1982 as part of the Oxford Department of International Development

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established
on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide.
U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants For nearly 100 years the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants has acted
to address the needs and rights of persons in forced or voluntary migration worldwide by advancing fair and humane public policy, facilitating and providing direct professional services, and promoting the full participation of migrants in community life.
Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children The Women's Refugee Commission advocates vigorously for laws, policies and
programs to improve the lives and protect the rights of refugee and internally displaced women, children and young people, including those seeking asylumbringing about lasting, measurable change.
