April, 2012
Policies to prevent child recruitment
by armed groups in Colombia
have been put in place since 2010, and a recently
enacted Victims Law offers reparations for victims of
violations committed by all parties to the conflict.
At this crucial juncture, Watchlist conducted two
field missions 2011 to Colombia to research and
report on the situation of children affected by armed
conflict and devise key recommendations to address such

2012
Since the beginning of 2012, Mali has been faced with
the worst crisis of its recent history, one that has
questioned both the integrity of its territory as well
as almost 20 years of
political stability.
Amnesty International has made a
report of the events of the last five months. The report
is based upon the findings of a three-week
research mission undertaken in April 2012, in Bamako,
the Malian capital city, and in Niger. In Niger, the
Amnesty International
delegation visited four Malian refugee sites close to
the Nigerien border.
