Important information - Student Centre works
The University is committed to creating the best
possible student experience at Essex and is therefore investing in
the creation of a
new Student Centre and Library extension at the Colchester campus. Construction
work for this new build is due to begin in December 2011.
In order for the Estates Management Section contractors to commence with this
new build, a temporary access road will
be constructed during December 2011/January 2012. This access road is displayed
in the diagram below and is adjacent to the Houses and Wolfson Court accommodation.
In order to commence the construction of the Student Centre this access road
will be used by construction traffic to access the site. Deliveries to the site
will take place Monday through to Saturday and may commence from 7.30am. There
will be no construction work on Sundays or bank holidays.
Please bear this in mind when making your accommodation choices in your
subsequent application.
