Risk Register and Crisis Management

The University has conducted risk assessments on all major predicted hazards and has constituted a Crisis Management Group to deal with any event that might occur.

Risk Assessments

Qualified persons within the University have undertaken risk assessments in relation to identified hazards and recommended measures that can be taken to manage those risks.

Examples of risk assessments conducted in relation to the residences include:

Fire risk assessment
Legionella
Communicable diseases

Any resident who would like further information regarding risk assessments relating to the residences should contact the Accommodation Office on in the first instance.

Crisis Management Group

The Crisis Management Group has produced a Crisis Management Plan which outlines how the University will deal with any major event or crisis. The plan can be viewed at the following web site under the bullet point titled University of Essex Crisis Management Plan.
