Colchester Campus:
University Quays
Quays (Sainty, Matthews and Hawkins)
This is the newest of the residential developments and winner of the
2004 Colchester 2020 & Royal Institute of Architects award for best
new contemporary building. From the centre of campus a pleasant walk
through open meadows will bring you to the Quays which are situated
on the northern edge of the campus close to the Colne Estuary.
The walking distance to the centre of campus is
approximately 15 minutes.
There is a launderette on site, and a major supermarket within
walking distance and a DIY store nearby. All rooms are en suite and
most flats are shared between eight students. [Map.]
If you are allocated accommodation in the University Quays for the 12/13
academic year you can meet and chat with other future residents on Facebook. Go
to the residences page and find the Facebook group for
your accommodation. Please note that this is an open group so you should not
post personal information such as your full university address.

what our students say...
"The
Quays are the latest development and a brilliant place to live. The flats are
sociable and the kitchens act as great meeting points; everyone can fit around
the table and have a good chat. I also have an excellent view of the river."
