Accommodation Essex Residences
Essex has a range of accommodation suited to a variety of needs
all within walking distance of the academic departments and campus
facilities at both Southend and Colchester campuses. Every flat has self-catering facilities, including
microwave oven and freezers and bedrooms have a connection point with access to the internet and
university networks without further charge. Please note that we
do not provide bedding within accommodation, further details

community life in the university residences
All living areas will be shared with students from all over the
world, giving you the opportunity to make new friends from many
diverse cultures. It will be an experience in learning how to live
with others but in the knowledge that you have your own space in
your bedroom for those times when you want privacy.
There is a Residents’ Support Network
designed to create a positive environment in which students in
University accommodation can live and learn successfully. The
RSN Residents’ Assistants will meet you early on in your stay
with us to introduce you to university life and will be
organizing activities for you and the other students living in
their ‘patch’ of accommodation.
