Smoking Policy
The University’s No Smoking Policy does not extend to the
residences. A number of requests are received with respect to
non-smoking flats. We do attempt to accommodate as many non-smoking
students together as possible but at the present time we do not
guarantee that there will not be smokers present in your
accommodation throughout the course of the year.
Smoking is permitted in the student bedrooms within flats that are
designated as smoking flats. However, smoking is strictly prohibited
in the public areas and shared facilities of all accommodation
irrespective of whether the flat is designated as a smoking flat or
a non-smoking flat.
Public areas and shared facilities include all kitchens, corridors
and lobbies within the accommodation buildings.
