Introduction to the consultation
The University is currently in the process of updating our Vision
and Strategic Plan for the period of 2012 to 2017 – and as a member of the
University community, we would like your input.
This follows initial discussion by external Council members, Senior Staff,
Council and Faculty away days, alongside other workshops. As part of this
consultative process, we will be seeking your views on the key strategic
themes contained in the Strategic Plan – as follows:

- Student Experience and Achievement
- Knowledge Exchange
- International
- Finance
Supporting Themes
- Facilities and Sustainability
- Student Selection and Access
- Staff
- Management and Governance
- Regional Engagement
Timeline
As this consultative process unfolds you will be invited to comment on
each of these key strategic themes as follows:
- Vision – January 2012
- Strategic themes – January to March 2012
- Complete Strategic Plan and revised key performance indicators
(KPIs) – March 2012
Reminders on when to comment will be published in the weekly briefing
Top Lines, after which the full approval process will take place, with
final approval going to University Council in June 2012.
