Introduction to the consultation
The University is currently in the process of updating our Vision
and Strategic Plan for the period of 2012 to 2017 – and as a member of the
University community, we would like your input.
This follows initial discussion by external Council members, Senior
Staff, Council and Faculty away days, alongside other workshops. As part of
this consultative process, we will be seeking your views on the key
strategic themes contained in the Strategic Plan – as follows:

- Knowledge Exchange
- International
- Finance
Supporting Themes
- Facilities and Sustainability
- Student Selection and Access
- Staff
- Management and Governance
- Regional Engagement
Timeline
A consultative process was completed during the academic year 2011-12 to
revise and update the Vision together with the Strategic Themes and the
Supporting Themes of the Strategic Plan.
Approval of the Strategic Plan by University Council (due July 2012) has
been deferred, pending the arrival of the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor
Anthony Forster.
