Southend Campus room guide
Our Southend Campus is based in the heart of Southend-on-Sea and
currently has three buildings in the town centre.
The Gateway Building
The Gateway Building offers modern, state-of-the-art teaching, study and
business space, the Students' Union and a health centre.
Essex Business School, the
School of Health and Human Sciences,
East 15 Acting School and the
Centre for
Psychoanalytic Studies all use The Gateway Building as a base. Our
Professional Development Studies team also offers
courses from the site.
Business facilities include the Business
Hub, the
Business Incubation Centre and the
i-Lab,
Clifftown Theatre and Studios
The nearby
Clifftown Theatre and Studios, based in a renovated church, provides
further space for East 15 Acting School students. The converted church has
been sympathetically renovated to incorporate studios, seminar rooms, a
wardrobe department, props store and workshop, foyer bar and a
state-of-the-art 200-seat theatre.
University Square
University Square,
our new student accommodation in Southend, has become a colourful addition
to the town's skyline. Just two minutes' walk from The Gateway Building,
University Square offers over 500 en suite single study-bedrooms.
