Staff Responsibilities

1. Follow relevant fire safety precautions and evacuation procedures.
2. Attend basic fire safety training and other fire safety training as may be necessary for your role.
3. Evacuate immediately if the fire alarm sounds, closing doors behind you. Ensure your visitors or anyone you are responsible for evacuates.
4. Report any fire safety issues to a manager and to the University's Fire Safety Officer.
5. Do not leave anything obstructing escape routes or leave combustible materials in corridors. Keep fire doors closed.
6. Contact the Fire Safety Officer if you have a problem evacuating, even if temporary.
