Intellectual Property refers to anything you have personally created, such as designs, concepts, brand names or software. It doesn’t need to be a physical object to hold value.

As an entrepreneur, protecting your Intellectual Property is vital to the preservation of your business ideas from the outset.

In this workshop we will focus on the basic elements of intellectual property rights to help you understand the requirements for obtaining a patent, copyright, and trademarks for your business, and what these protections offer you.

We will also discuss the responsibilities of businesses under data protection law, with emphasis on the processing of personal data. You will gain an understanding of the protection of personal and sensitive data, and the ways in which data can be collected legally and processed in accordance with the law.
