You can print, copy and scan using any of our multifunction printers on campus. Find them in or near to study spaces where there are computers.

Print credit and top-ups

You get £10 virtual print credit at the start of each academic year - this is not real money, just a virtual balance.
If you run out of credit, you can request a top-up once every three months. If you need to top-up more often than this, please speak with your personal tutor.
You may be entitled to additional top-ups if you have a specific learning difficulty.
You can't top-up using your own money.

Go to any computer on campus and log in.
When you're ready to print, choose Student Managed Print from the list of available printers (it should be the default printer) and print your document.
Now you can go to any of our multifunction printers on campus. You have 8 hours to collect your print, otherwise you will have to print it again.
Log in to the printer with your student card, select the document and print it.

To print from a mobile device, such as your personal phone or laptop:

Using your Essex email account, open a new email and attach the documents you want to print. You must send the email from your Essex email account otherwise it won't work.
Send the email to mobileprinting@essex.ac.uk
Go to any of our multifunction printers on campus and log in.
Select the document and print it. You have 8 hours to collect your print, after that your document will disappear from the printer.

Tip: It's cheaper to print double-sided.
