How to select your outcome choices

Please ensure you make your decision by the decision deadline found on your web results page. For most undergraduate students this is Wednesday 17 July 2024. All decisions should be made before the decision deadline via your results page by clicking on the ‘Click here to view your results’ box underneath your results table.

If you have any issues accessing your results or making your decision via your results page, please email examboards@essex.ac.uk as soon as possible. If you do not choose your outcome by the deadline, an outcome will be imposed, if you would like to change this or your selection, you will need to email us to request this.

Please note: if you wish to attend Graduation, you must select a relevant outcome by Thursday 4 July 2024.

Before you select your outcome

Please ensure you have carefully read through what each outcome means on the relevant Board of Examiners’ outcome pages and in your outcome email. For advice on which outcome to choose, please contact either your department or email SU Advice. If you are a Tier 4 or Student visa holder, you should also read the information on how the outcomes may affect your leave status on the Immigration webpages.

You will be asked to select 'Resit' or 'Don’t Resit' in the ‘Make your choice’ column.

Selecting your outcome

This table outlines how to enter your choice on the web results page. You will only be able to select options offered to you by the Board of Examiners. If you are unhappy with your outcomes please see our website for information about the grounds and deadlines for submitting an academic appeal.
