| 23 Apr - 09 July 2024 | 1960s Building Phase 2 re-roofing works |
Noisy work will be carried out of hours as much as possible to avoid impact on those working in affected locations. Between 23-29 April the scaffolding will be erected but the physical re-roofing itself is not noisy work. All work is due to be finished by 09 July 2024. |
| 17 June - 13 Sept 2024 | Faculty of Science and Health, Estates Corridor inc Finance 6.019 | Refurbishment of level 6 to create a new phantom head dental suite. Noisy works from ad-hoc drilling, hammering and banging. Mitigation noisy works to be carried out before 9:00am and at weekends. Power isolation for this project will only effect 6.300 and surrounding rooms. |
| 31 May 2024 | Life Sciences L83 lift | Works will be carried out to install replacement car top controls on 31 May 2024. It is anticipated that the lift will be out of action between 9am and 3pm |
| 10 -18 June 2024 | Tony Rich Building | The Estates team will be carrying out work to the hot water heaters in the Tony Rich Building. There will be some noise disturbance but this will be managed to avoid busy times and at least one female, male and DDA toilet will be kept open. |
| 10 June - 5 July 2024 | SU Lift (L8) | Works are due to commence on 10 June 2024 to the SU passenger (L8) lift. The lift will be out of use throughout duration of works but others will be available. Noise is expected to be minimal. |
| 10 June 2024 | SU Fire exit and metal walkway | Works are due to be carried out on the SU fire exit and metal walkway on 10 June 2024 and will last a couple of weeks. There will be no restrictions to access during this time. |
| 17 - 22 June 2024 | Tarmac repairs across campus roads | Repair works to the tarmac on roads across campus will be taking place between 17 - 22 June 2024. The road from the Wivenhoe entrance will be reduces to a single lane and there will be temporary bus stops whilst these are also repaired. |
| 17 - 21 June 2024 | Replacement gas main in Computing Building |
There will be no hot water to the building for the duration of the works, will affect the mechanical and electrical workshops and 1 E building. |
| 17 June - 11 Nov 2024 | South Courts | The Estates team are due to be carrying out Phase 2 Installation works in South Courts. There will be noise from the scaffolding works, impact drivers both putting up and taking down. Hot water will need to be shut down at various times due to flume fumes. Electricity will need to be isolated at certain connection times or when work on cabling is needed. |
